And in English, too!

Aeria Games today announced that they have the rights from Falcom to release the Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki (The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky) trilogy on smartphones. Better yet, they plan to release the games both in Japan, and in English-speaking markets. The mobile platforms weren't specified, but chances are they will be for iOS and/or Android devices. The ports will incorporate social and online features often found in iOS and Android games.

The Trails in the Sky trilogy first saw release on PCs in Japan back in 2004, before the PSP started to get ports of the games in 2006. And that's only in Japan - North America and Europe only saw the first chapter this year. With the second chapter's English fate up in the air, the smartphone version comes as good news for overseas fans.

On Twitter, XSEED Games has mentioned to curious fans that no, they're not actually involved. Though Aeria Games does indeed have plans for English versions, exact plans and timeframes weren't given.
