Yes, There Will Be A Persona 4 Play, Too
Suddenly, Japan really loves this game.

Let me get this straight: So far, Persona 4 has or will have a PlayStation Vita remake, a monthly magazine, a fighting game, a manga, a social (mobile) game, and an anime which is currently airing. Apparently, all of this isn't enough for Japan, because apparently it's getting a stage production too!

Titled Persona 4 Visualive, the play is being put on by Marvelous AQL, and will be penned by Shintaro Asonuma. The show will run from March 15-20th of next year at the Sunshine Theater in Ikebukuro, with tickets costing anywhere between 7000 yen ($90.81 US) and 10,000 yen ($129.72 US).

The cast is as follows:

  • Main Protagonist: Toru Baba
  • Yosuke: Takahisa Maeyama
  • Chie: Minami Tsukui
  • Yukiko: Risa Yoshiki
  • Kou Ichijo (basketball captain): Motohiro Ota
  • Daisuke Nagase: Jyoji Satome
  • Dojima: Masahashi Taniguchi
  • Adachi: Masami
  • Teddie: Kappei Yamaguchi (Teddie's original voice actor)

So far, there haven't been any actual story details revealed, but there will be some kind of special effects. Each performance, the main character's name will change too - Marvelous is letting fans submit name suggestions (presumably on the production's official site).
