Also inside - two trailers, one of them animated!
10.29.11 - 5:36 PM

Wakfu, the MMORPG from Square Enix and French developer Ankama Games, has been in beta for a good portion of this year. Yesterday, Square announced that its full launch finally has a global date of February 2012. The game itself will be a free download with access to lots of in-game content, but there will also be a monthly subscription fee set at $6 per month, for premium content. In addition, an in-game store for microtransactions will open up at launch.

With the announcement, Square sent along a rather pretty animated trailer, and another one below it that highlights the game's political system.

Wakfu, a turn-based MMO, also boasts a unique art style, 14 classes to choose from, a dynamic ecosystem and an indepth political system where, as described above, you can run for governor of your nation, collect taxes, work to keep your citizens happy, and so on. You can find more screens, videos, and our previews for the game, in the links below. Currently it is compatible with PC, Mac and Linux, with no other platforms announced at this time.
