Beyond the Labyrinth Website Opens
And a look at the stunning box art.

Konami and tri-Ace's 3DS dungeon crawler Beyond the Labyrinth was officially dated for a January 19th release in Japan a couple of days ago. To celebrate, the official website for the game has opened up. It includes a brief overview of the world, characters, gameplay, and story. We've got all that information right here for you if you scroll down a bit. First though, the beautiful box art:

The story is still just as mysterious as ever. The website explains that you meet a strange, white-haired girl (who still hasn't been given a name) inside of a massive dungeon. Supposedly she found the dungeon after becoming lost in the surrounding valley. No information is provided as to how or why you're there. The dungeon itself is shown on the locations page, but there are two other sections still blank. Seems like there will be some other areas to explore.

The game itself plays much like (as far as we know so far) a typical dungeon crawler. You will lead, or be lead by, the girl around the labyrinth in an attempt to escape. Along the way you will encounter a wide variety of monsters and gradually improve your own powers. The girl starts off only able to throw stones, but will become much more capable as you level her up.

There's some brand new screenshots in our gallery too. Beyond the Labyrinth is priced at 5800 yen ($76.43 US) for Japan. No news yet for a release anywhere else.
