Yes, There Will Be A Mass Effect 3 Demo
It's a good thing I was planning to get Battlefield 3 anyway...
10.21.11 - 2:56 AM

It feels like we've already waited forever for Mass Effect 3 with an eternity left. Or well, four and a half months. BioWare will (hopefully) make the wait easier, as they've announced that yes, there's a demo on the way. The bad news? It's not due until January. The good news is you'll get to sample both the single player and multiplayer modes. But there's a catch with the multiplayer portion of the demo, since access will be limited at first (it's not unlike a beta, after all).

To gain early access, you'll need to get... Battlefield 3! Yes, DICE's military shooter hits stores next week, and anyone who owns a copy and activates their BF3 online pass will automatically get the access to ME3's multiplayer demo (when it's available, of course) via their EA account. If you're a Battlefield 3 Origin customer you'll automatically have this pass, and this deal is good for all platforms in all regions that will see the ME3 demo. (Both Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3 will be on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.)

...That's a lot of 3s.

Exact dates will be announced next month, and the single player portion will be available to everyone. BioWare notes that there'll be other ways to gain access to the multiplayer demo, which they'll also announce in the next month or two.
