Two Tales Games Revealed
Tales of Innocence R, and Tales of the Heroes Twin Brave.

As mentioned last night, one of the many promised PlayStation Vita titles is Tales of Innocence R. It wasn't clear at the time how this related to the original Tales of Innocence, but is now said to be a 're-imagining' of the DS title. As producer Ryoji Odate states, this means it's more than simply a remake. The story, battle, and other aspects will be worked on, and fans can expect to see a new opening... and a new character. Kyu Kyu, who wears an eye patch, is an archaeology student from another world - or so she says.

The other title is the one which Namco had set up a countdown site for: Tales of the Heroes Twin Brave. This is an action-oriented title with characters from various Tales games, where battles require parties of just two. This may remind fans of Tales of Vs. Heroes. It's unclear yet whether this is actually for the PSP or PSV (or both?). Both Tales games will be on display at Tokyo Game Show this week so expect more details (and hopefully media) very soon.

In other Tales news, so far Tales of Xillia is just a tad successful, seeing as it topped dominated the Japanese sales charts. The PS3 game sold over 525,000 copies in its first week alone. Not bad, but will it be enough to convince Namco Bandai's Western subsidiaries to bring it over?
