Bravely Default: Flying Fairy 3DS Also Announced
Everyone wants a little bit of augmented reality.

Fire Emblem 3DS wasn't the only RPG announcement at Nintendo's 3DS 2011 Conference today. Square Enix also had a reveal: Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. This 'classic-style' RPG makes use of AR (augmented reality) cards, although how this works hasn't exactly been detailed. There is an AR demo app on the eStore (Japan's, of course), where you'll be able to view the game's teaser with a special AR card that you can pick up at Tokyo Game Show later this week.

Bravely Default's art was designed by Akihiko Yoshida (Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy: The 4 Warriors of Light), and its producer is Tomoya Asano. Little else is known about the game, other than that it releases sometime next year. For a first look at the game, you'll find a few screens and art in the gallery below.
