White Knight Chronicles II Artwork Added
Take a look at some pretty powerful weapons.
08.26.11 - 1:28 AM

Level-5's White Knight Chronicles II has over 400 new weapons, though many are of the usual variety - swords, spears, axes, bows, staves and so on. One new weapon attribute is a 'Killer' attribute which makes the weapon extra effective against certain enemy types - such as 'Undead' or 'Gigas.' The catch is you'll have to use three different types of material when crafting the weapon of choice.

Swords also include knives and single handed axes. There are also two-handed swords, katanas, and other types of longswords that do more damage than regular swords. You also get your two-handed axes, hammers, and the like which are slow but really powerful. Spears are especially useful when your character has them equipped with shields and armour. Bows can have their own elemental attributes and are more of a support weapon. Staves and rods have a high magic stat and are best for healing, restoring and status spells.

D3Publisher, who is bringing the title to North America next month, sent over artwork of some of the more powerful weapons:

Don't get too excited though. The Chaos Bringer, Chaos Sword and Cosmic Axe (top row) all require your character to be at level 55 to wield. The bottom three - the Cosmic Bow, Dragon Rod, and Phantom Spear - are an even higher level 80.

White Knight Chronicles II for the PS3 releases in North America on September 13th.
