Just a day before its Japanese release, NIS America announced tonight that it will bring Imageepoch's PSP action RPG Black*Rock Shooter: The Game to both North America and Europe. The title is based on an anime also called Black Rock Shooter, and takes place in 2032 when Earth has been invaded by aliens. The titular main character was created for the purpose of saving the planet, at a time when only twelve people are all that's left of the human race. Her nemesis is a bit of a doppleganger who goes by the name of White Rock Shooter, and both were designed by illustrator huke.

NISA president Jack Niida acknowledged that fans have been asking for the title, and says that the game 'definitely lives up to the hype.' Black*Rock Shooter: The Game's final Western title nor release window have yet to be given, but stay tuned for more details and have a look at the last Japanese trailer, and our gallery below!
