And soon to be an Xbox Live Indie Game.

We at RPGFan love our indie titles, as evidenced by Neal Chandran's and others' reviews. One that was more recently brought to our attention is a game titled The Fall of Gods. Created by Stephane Royer, The Fall of Gods released on PC last week and has been submitted to Xbox Live for playtesting as well.

So what is The Fall of Gods? This is an action RPG that takes place in the world of Ergia and mixes adventure, combat, magic, riddles, sidequests... and humour. Ergia was created by nine gods who were created by the four Energies, who were in turn created by light which was born out of darkness. After creating the lands, animals, and everything else that you see in Ergia, one of the gods created humans with the intention of giving them her powers. The gods however were split over being 'equal' to humans, which resulted in wars, and the human race being given tools of both creation and destruction. Eventually the humans were able to change the world themselves, and new creatures appeared, but it all ended in a big bang, after which the game begins.

Minimum specs for the game are a Windows OS, Direct 9.0c, 512 MB of RAM and a 1.66 MHz processor. The Fall of Gods is available now for $9.99 US on the website below (as is a free downloadable manual), and will be on Xbox Live sometime soon.
