Chantelise Release Date Set
And a special surprise from Carpe Fulgur!
07.22.11 - 10:18 PM

We got word today from the lovely Andrew Dice, head of Carpe Fulgur, that his studio's translation of action RPG Chantelise: A Tale of Two Sisters is just about ready to make its debut. It's so soon, in fact, that you'll be able to play it next week! The official release date is July 29th, and as an added bonus, a demo of the game was put up on the game's official website. (It's currently a placeholder for the full site, but hey, it's functional!) The game follows titular heroines Chante and Elise, the latter of which is directly controlled by the player. Elise sets off on a quest to find the witch that cursed her sister Chante and turned her into a fairy. Players can expect to see the same bright color palette used in Recettear as they engage in hack 'n slash combat and dungeon-crawling shenanigans.

Chantelise will be available for digital purchase through Steam, GamersGate, and other undisclosed networks. For an inside look into the localization process, head on over to Andrew Dice's blog. Be sure to check back for further coverage of this charming indie title, including a review in the coming weeks!
