Devil Survivor 2 Gallery Update
We have a lot of new screens. Seriously.

One of the reasons I'm looking forward to Devil Survivor 2 (besides the fact that I love the first game) is the very strange-looking enemy bosses named the Septentrion that attack various Japanese cities. They don't even look like creatures, but rather strange objects. Like this:

Like all Shin Megami Tensei titles, Devil Survivor 2 rewards you for targeting enemies' weaknesses. Like before, you got extra turns for doing so - but if you target a weakness again you'll get a 'double extra turn.' Perhaps battles will end even sooner this time around. Another new aspect to Devil Survivor 2 is race-specific skills for demons. That is, other demon races can't learn certain skills that a race might have.

Here are some more characters.

From left to right, 19-year old Jungo Torii is a chef in Nagoya and described as quiet, cautious and gentle. Naturally, all the fighting going on around him unsettles him. Student Keita Wakui is a 17-year old member of the boxing club who's obsessed with increasing his strength to defeat the demons. He's a bit of a loner and not overly friendly. And then we have the mysterious 'Melancholy Man' who, besides an interesting taste in clothing, calls the protagonist a 'shining person.'

You'll also find a ton of new screens in the gallery linked below. Devil Survivor 2 for the Nintendo DS releases in Japan on July 28th and in North America next year.
