LEGO Universe Gets A Free-To-Play Version
Legos? For free?
06.22.11 - 9:22 PM

LEGO Universe, an MMORPG based on the famous building blocks which was launched last fall, will soon become free-to-play this summer. The PC and Mac title will have a 'free trial' which is unlimited in time - but will only let players access certain limited features or areas. If you like what you can see though, the full game can be purchased and unlocked for $10 US per month of play.

The game will also soon only be available as a digital download, as it'll no longer be distributed on DVD-rom. The LEGO Group won't be doing micro-transactions anytime soon in the MMO, so for paying users, there's only the monthly fee. They do, however, plan to support the game with all kinds of updates, new features, events, and so on for quite some time.

Players will be able to access the free trials in LEGO Universe as of this August. For another look at the game, check out our newly-updated gallery below! Uh... is that LEGO Conan O'Brien?
