Take A Trip Around Rune Factory Oceans
What are the sights around Finnis Island?
02.22.11 - 12:51 AM

Rune Factory Oceans is another title that releases this week in Japan, so Marvelous Entertainment has given one last look around the game's main area, Finnis Island. Last time we got a look at your main characters' home, where you'll cook, fortify your own weapons, and even upgrade your house so you can do even more at home.

Those who have been following the title may have also heard of the Sisters Inn, where the three sisters (and possible bachelorettes for protagonist Azel) all work. At nighttime the inn also serves as a pub.

Twins is a general shop run by Sarah and Bismarck who are unsurprisingly, twins. Electra is also an employee at the store, and both she and Sarah are also potential bachelorettes for Azel. Bismarck, meanwhile is a potential bachelor for your other protagonist, Sonia. Their prices on items are apparently negotiable.

Chronos is the blacksmith. Elena, another bachelorette, created a golem that runs this shop, where you can buy weapons and use minerals to fortify them. Rune Factory Oceans also boasts a bathhouse! Here you can recover health and RP (a gauge which you use up when using items) daily.

Father Grey runs a church which also houses a hospital where Iris practices her nurse duties, and you can buy medicine from her as well. The chapel here is of course, where your characters get married. You can also visit a dragon shrine higher up on the island where, like most shrines, you can make wishes by giving up a donation. You can also gather information here, and gain special abilities like being able to collect items more easily.

For a small batch of new screen shots (14 in total), you can find the gallery below. Rune Factory Oceans for both the PlayStation 3 and Wii will release this Thursday in Japan. There hasn't yet been an announcement for a Western localization.
