If you're in need of even more old school Final Fantasy (or you just didn't think it possible for Square Enix to come up with even more ways to play them), we have news for you. The PSP versions of Final Fantasy I and II, which came out in 2007, will be available as downloads on the Japanese PlayStation Network this week on February 22nd at 2100 yen ($25.53 US) apiece. These versions have the added CG from previous iterations, updated 2D visuals and new scenarios.

The magazine V-Jump also made mention of iOS versions of both Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (which we have been waiting on for quite some time now), and also Final Fantasy III. It wasn't mentioned which version of FFIII this would be - the 3D Nintendo DS version or a reworked 2D, like I and II. Both Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions and Final Fantasy III are slated to release in Japan sometime this spring. Unlike most platforms though, Square's iOS releases are simultaneous worldwide, so Western fans should expect these games at the same time.
