Those eagerly signing in to their Playstation Network accounts to snag the digital release of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together should be pleasantly surprised to find another strategy RPG available for download. Saiyuki: Journey West was rated by the ESRB just last month, and makes its debut on the PSN today. The game carries a price of $5.99 USD.
Saiyuki: Journey West, developed and published by Koei, is a video game adaptation of the Chinese novel Journey to the West. It follows the quest of Buddhist monk Sanzo (whose gender is selectable) and his/her elementally-aligned companions, all of whom possess the power to transform into fearsome monsters. The game's similarities to Tactics Ogre are apparent, so fans of the genre should find plenty to enjoy in this often-overlooked title.
