Dragon Age II Gets A Demo
But you have to wait patiently for it.

Despite the crowded RPG release schedule over the next two or three months, Dragon Age II remains one of the most anticipated - if not the most anticipated title this spring (or very late winter if you prefer). Upon visiting BioWare's Edmonton studio back in December, editor Damian Thomas offered up a hands-on-preview (below) of the sequel to Dragon Age: Origins. But if you want your own hands-on impression, you only have to wait two and a half weeks.

BioWare will be releasing a demo for Dragon Age II on February 22nd for all three platforms - PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The demo will cover the prologue, let you choose a character class and introduce you to the main character Hawke, then take you through Kirkwall where you will meet Isabella. By completing the demo, you'll be able to unlock Hayder's Razor, a dwarf blade with a few special abilities, for use in the full version of the game.

A pre-order will net you a couple of in-game bonuses: a Lion of Orlais Shield, and a Fadeshear Sword. Players will also gain access to the Black Emporium, where you customize your character, create magic or call upon the mabari hounds. Dragon Age II will be out in North America on March 8th and in Europe on March 11th.
