Pokémon Black & White Gets An Evolved Battle System
And you can watch it in video form!
01.27.11 - 7:32 PM

With so many Pokémon games released over the years (and two at a time at that!), Nintendo's not exactly against adding to, or changing up the formula for the popular franchise. Pokémon Black & White are due to hit stores in just over a month, and Nintendo released a video to show off the latest titles' 'evolved' battle system. This time, the battles are three-on-three, and depending on where you place your Pokémon, they'll only be able to attack certain Pokémon on the opposing team. Centre Pokémon can attack any of the three opponents, but those placed on the sides can only attack the Pokémon directly in front, or the centre one.

The battle system clip is here:

Using C-Gear, players can connect with others and either battle or trade Pokémon, exchange friend codes or see what their friends are up to in-game. As well, players can also elect to go into battle with random players over wi-fi.

Pokémon Black & White for the Nintendo DS are due out in North American on March 6th for $34.99 US.
