Indie Action-RPG Torchlight has been announced for release on Xbox Live Arcade as a part of the upcoming XBLA House Party promotion. Having sold more than 750,000 copies on PC, Torchlight will appeal to fans of Deathspank, which recently made the opposite transition - from XBLA to PC late last year.

"We couldn't be happier to bring Torchlight to Xbox Live Arcade," stated Max Schaefer, CEO of Runic. "This is what the fans have been asking for. Torchlight for the Xbox 360 is a new way to experience a great game, and we're thrilled to work with Microsoft to bring it to fruition."

The Xbox Live Arcade version of the title is slated for release in March and will feature a completely revamped control scheme, but will lack the secondary weapon sets seen in the PC version of the game. Keep your eyes peeled to RPGFan for more on Torchlight for Xbox Live Arcade as it gets closer to its release.
