Get Ready to Be Charmed by Chantelise This Year
Carpe Fulgur's next translation project is a whimsical action-RPG.

We were all pleasantly surprised last year by the release of Recettear, the first project by burgeoning translation studio Carpe Fulgur. In a blog post by company head Andrew Dice, it was announced that Recettear broke the 100,000 mark in sales, representing a tremendous success for the burgeoning studio. It also means that the company has enough money to continue operating through 2011. The team has plans to release at least three new titles this year, the first of which was also developed by EasyGameStation, like Recettear. Entitled Chantelise: Chante & Elise's Story, the game is an action-RPG with a similar art style to Recettear.

No release date for Chantelise has been set at this time. Count on us at RPGFan to report more information on this title as soon as it becomes available. Independent game development, ho!

Also, we have a new gallery for the game below, and hey, a video!

For more information on Chantelise, Hardcore Gaming 101 has an excellent article/review for the game that you might want to give a read.
