Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Gets An Actual DS Demo
..and an iOS port in Japan?
12.15.10 - 11:35 PM

You for sure know by now how much we're looking forward to Capcom's Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. The quirky Nintendo DS graphic adventure is less than a month away in North America, and you've no doubt heard about the Flash demo that Capcom recently released. But if you want to get more of a DS feel for the game, there's now a real demo available - so long as you have Wifi capabilities. Just go to the Nintendo DS channel on your system and you can download it from there. It is a different demo from the Flash version though, with a new setting ...and a little help from Missile. (That's a Pomeranian, not an actual missile.)

...And in an interesting twist (and also perhaps because we don't have *nearly* iOS news today), Ghost Trick also just saw an iOS port. It's only available in Japan however, as it has just hit their App Store today. The double-DS screen has been re-arranged on the iPhone (or iPod) screen to lie side by side, but the content seems to be the same. While the regular going price for the full game on iTunes is 1500 yen ($17.92 US), Capcom has it priced at 1200 yen ($14.24 US) until December 21st. Alternatively, you can download a free version which nets you the first couple of chapters, and you can buy the other chapters separately.

As far as North America is concerned, the DS version of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will be out on January 11th.
