Stay out of prison, Miles! You don't want to meet Bubba, do you?

Capcom seems to really love web (flash) demos. (In case you haven't tried out their Ghost Trick demo, you can check it out here.) Makes sense, since it's a little hard to demo Nintendo DS games otherwise at this time. They have now also made available a flash demo of Gyakuten Kenji 2 (Ace Attorney Investigations 2) here. It's the game's first chapter, in Japanese of course, but worth trying if you're a fan of the series.

There's also a few more story details and another character introduced via the game's official site. Yumihiko Ichiyanagi is a new prosecutor who tries to solve his cases more quickly than anyone else, as he aims to be the #1 prosecutor - he calls himself Ichiryu. We already previously talked about Judge Hakari Mikagami, who now apparently sits on a Prosecutor Investigations Committee, comprised of eleven highly regarded members of law. This committee watches prosecutors carefully, and attempt to intervene and eject them from cases if they don't feel they're doing the job.

Following the initial events at the beginning, Miles Edgeworth winds up in prison not as an inmate, but as part of an ongoing investigation in there. He's joined by Kay Faraday, however Judge Mikagami has also shown up, as she wants Miles off the case and for Yumihiko to take over.

Ace Attorney Investigations 2 for the DS will be out in Japan on February 3rd, and has not yet been announced for North America. You can check out some screens with the new characters in our gallery, and video on the character section of the game's official site, both linked below.
