Inazuma Eleven Kicks Off In Europe
Want proof? Look at all those English screens.

Sports and RPGs don't often mix. Sure. Final Fantasy X has Blitzball, but the jury's still out on that one. Is that it? Not quite - you may have heard of Inazuma Eleven, a popular soccer RPG series from Level-5, the developer behind Ni no Kuni and Professor Layton. This is one series that never saw release outside of Japan, but it looks like that's about to change.

Ever since Nintendo's Swedish site posted screenshots earlier today, the latest information is that the first Inazuma Eleven for the Nintendo DS is due out in Europe on January 28th, 2011. At least, that's the date for Sweden and Norway, but there's no reason all of Europe shouldn't get the game at the same time. Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata did promise us earlier that previously-unlocalized DS titles would finally come over, so this looks to be a good start in that direction.

The rest of you are probably wondering about Inazuma Eleven's likelihood in North America. We haven't heard a peep yet, but if the game's already going to be in English anyway then it stands a good chance. In the meanwhile, we've added a gallery full of English screen shots below, and keep checking back for more information!
