Some New Ace Attorney Investigations 2 Details
Including a beautiful judge with weird hair.

Capcom decided to update the official site for Gyakuten Kenji 2 (Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Miles Edgeworth) recently, and in the process, we got to learn more about the characters and the 'Logic Chess' system. In the sequel, Miles has been called in to investigate an assassination attempt on the president of Zheng Fa.

The first new character is Hakari Mikigami, who is described as a 'beautiful' judge (I give her credit for the hair, at least) and really tough when it comes to the law, but it's not clear as to why she's meeting with Miles Edgeworth. Others introduced were Taro Tanaka, who claims to be selling ice cream but is a suspect; the nosy reporter Mikiko Hayami who doesn't seem to get along with Miles too well; the rather buff but well-spoken President Outeikun and one of the leaders of his bodyguard unit, Manosuke Naito. Nobody has an English name yet but that'll probably change when (if?) the game gets localized.

Despite the chess pieces and chess board depicted in the screenshots, Logic Chess is not actually chess. If Miles' witnesses aren't cooperating with him, he can interrogate them with questions anyway. You'll have a limited amount of time and you'll have to watch their responses and reactions to your questions carefully to decide what to ask next. Either you'll be able to break their chess piece or you'll run out of time, depending on how well your interrogation goes.

Ace Attorney Investigations 2 will be out on February 3rd in Japan. You can check out our gallery for a few new screens and pieces of art below.
