Three weeks ago, we reported that Nintendo and its subsidiary Monolith Soft were working on a Wii-based RPG titled Xenoblade (originally announced as "Monado" last year). Today, a first batch of information surfaced in Japan. The game depicts a battle between man and machines on the corpse of a giant God. The developers promise a grand adventure and a refreshingly new battle system. Battles will be fought in real-time and the transition from field to battle map will be seamless. A lot of effort went into the creation a world whose exploration can be enjoyed by the player. Completing Xenoblade will apparently take between 50 and 60 hours.

Xenoblade will be available in Japan sometime this spring.
