RPGFan is no newcomer to the niche RPG scene. While we cover big-name releases, we also ensure that consideration is given to lesser-known RPG projects. The latest endeavor to come to our attention is new studio Carpe Fulgur's localization project of Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale.

The title, released for PC last year by Japanese group EasyGameStation, is a simulation RPG with a focus on running an item shop. Players will assume the role of Recette, a young shopkeeper who is charged with paying off her wayward father's debt. Together with fairy advisor/loan collector Tear, she has to brave dungeon depths and collect loot to attract customers to her shop.

An English demo of the game has gone live, so head on over to Carpe Fulgur's site and give it a whirl. The full game will be distributed digitally at a soon-to-be announced date.
