English-speaking Kingdom Hearts fans, rejoice! Square Enix's E3 lineup, which was released earlier today, confirmed the existence of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, a remake of the Japanese cell phone title Kingdom Hearts: Coded. A press release from the company summarized the game's plot as follows:

"Jiminy Cricket is looking over the journal he used to document his first adventure with Sora when he discovers a mysterious message. He didn't write it – so how on earth did it get there? King Mickey is determined to find out, so he and his friends decide to digitize the journal and delve into its deepest secrets. Inside this 'datascape' dwells a second Sora who is about to embark on a grand adventure of his very own."

The Nintendo DS title is being produced by 358/2 Days developer h.a.n.d., and will be released internationally at an unspecified date. More details are expected to drop at E3 next week, so stay tuned to RPGFan for the latest news.
