The Witcher is a great game. Developed by Polish developer CD Projekt RED and based on BioWare's Aurora Engine, the game really did dialogue and interesting, meaningful morality choices well. Luckily for all those who played the first - and everyone else - CD Projekt Red has announced that in 2011, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will see release. The game is a direct sequel and will follow demon and monster hunter Geralt as he hunts down the would-be assassins of the King.

CD Projekt RED has created an entirely new engine for the second title, so there will be no holdovers from BioWare's engine. The developers promise this change will bring faster and more engrossing combat. Tomasz Gop, Senior Producer on the title, has also said that the team wants to bring the title to consoles, although there are no set plans to do so.

GameSpot also had a chance to interview Tomasz Gop, so click here to watch it.
