Earlier this year, we reported that Atlus had acquired the exclusive publishing rights to all Sting-developed games. Today, the two companies announced Hexyz Force and Yggdra Union: Seiken Buyuuden.

The latter is a DS-based gaiden to the popular strategy RPG Yggdra Union. It will be available in December in Japan for 6,279 yen ($66.85 US).

Hexyz Force for PlayStation Portable is a traditional RPG taking place in the world of Berge. This world has two sides to it, one light and one dark. Accordingly, the player will be able to choose between two different protagonists at the game's beginning. In the light scenario, the protagonist is a shrine maiden by the name of Cecilia, whereas the dark part's hero is a knight called Leevan. Depending on this choice, the setting, story and characters will change fundamentally.

The two protagonists' actions will affect their world's balance of creation and destruction and this balance will influence the game's ending. In the command-based battles, three party members have to be lined up in three (front, center, rear) rows. Each character possesses a sacred tool which can be upgraded by using the FP obtained in battle. That way it is also possible to improve a character's basic stats or acquire new skills. Once filled up, the force burst gauge will allow the player to unleash very powerful death blow attacks.

Hexyz Force is currently scheduled to arrive on Japanese retail store shelves on November 12th. It is to carry a suggested price tag of 5,229 yen ($55.67 US).
