Yesterday, NIS America released a web site showcasing their planned 2009 releases. Among them are a variety of RPGs.

Previously leaked in an interview with RPGamer, NIS America will be the first company to bring a game from the Sakura Wars series to English-speaking gamers. They chose to bring over Sakura Wars V, which is now titled Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love. The game will be released on two platforms: the original PlayStation 2 version, and the newly-developed Wii version. Both versions are planned for a Fall '09 release. Interested gamers can view the full press release for this particular title here.

The PlayStation 2 RPG Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy is planned for a Fall '09 release. The sequel to the original Gust title is technically a member of the extended Atelier series. No news yet as to whether NIS America will be picking up the PS3 title Atelier Rorona, but at least we know we're getting this one in short order.

Another Fall '09 planned release is a PSP port of Disgaea 2, whose original PS2 version came out only thee years prior. The new subtitle for the PSP version is Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. The PSP version will include new scenarios and an additional protagonist.

Fall '09 will also see the release of a PlayStation 3 Action RPG, an original title we know very little about at this point, entitled Last Rebellion. The game is developed by HitMaker.

Finally, we'll again mention the Wii port of Phantom Brave (planned release: June 2009) and A Witch's Tale for the DS (planned release: another generic "Fall 2009").

NIS America has a strong RPG lineup for 2009. Expect complete coverage for all of these titles on RPGFan throughout the year.
