05.21.08 - 7:18 AM

Hitoshi Sakimoto, renowed for his work on Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire V, Odin Sphere and Final Fantasy XII, is planning to bring his popular compositions to a wider audience. The 39-year-old native of Tokyo aims to also compose music for games produced outside of Japan in the future. Therefore, Sakimoto is joining forces with Four Bars Intertainment (FBI). FBI is already representing such well-known composers as Inon Zur (Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, Lineage II, Fallout 3), Jesper Kyd (Gears of Wars, Unreal Tournament 3, Assassin's Creed), Jason Hayes (Starcraft, Diablo 2, World of Warcraft) and Jack Wall (Jade Empire, Mass Effect).

Currently, Sakimoto has yet to announce any particular games he'll be scoring for North American and European studios. Stay tuned to RPGFan for further information regarding Hitoshi Sakimoto as it is revealed in the coming months.
