Memories Off Series Goes Portable
03.07.08 - 4:29 PM

It seems as if 2008 is bound to become a great year for PlayStation Portable-owning fans of the love adventure genre. Two weeks ago, PlayStation Portable releases of Clannad and Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Chapters 0 to 4 Full Pack were announced. Now Cybersoft is planning to bring its popular Memories Off series to Sony Computer Entertainment's handheld platform. According to Japanese retail sources, remakes of Memories Off and Memories Off Second are currently in the works at the Tokyo-based company. The handheld versions of the two games will include new movies and songs. Furthermore, the developers are adding an "after story" novel. Cybersoft apparently plans to follow up this initial double punch with ports of installments 3 to 5 at a later date.

Memories Off and Memories Off Second for PlayStation Portable will both be available in Japan on May 29th. The standard versions will retail for 5,800 yen ($56.01 USD), while the first print limited edition will cost 6,800 yen ($65.67 USD). In the case of Memories Off, the latter will come with a special box, an original character song CD, the original soundtrack, a 275-page artbook. The items included in the first print limited edition of Memories Off Second be similar with the exception of the box which is exclusive to Memories Off.
