New Soundtracks For Review!
02.17.08 - 2:40 AM

Sometimes, if you listen very closely, late at night, you can hear a whimper. That whimper is coming from me, because there are so many videogame soundtracks coming out, and I can only cover so many of them! The scary thing is that, recently, we've seen a wave of really good music, but seriously, we can hardly keep up! Here's us doing the best we can.

First, acknowledgements to reader-reviewer Ben Schweitzer, who provides us with a review of Uematsu's most recent score, the Lost Odyssey OST. Thank you Ben! I've written a review in conjunction with this one, for Anata o Yurusanai's OST. This is a graphic adventure for PSP developed by Cavia, and it also features music from Nobuo Uematsu. Very exciting!

Next up, it's time to catch up with everybody's favorite Atlus title, Persona 3. Damian wrote reviews for both the arranged album and the OST for the Persona 3 FES expansion. His reviews are as clever and appealing as the albums themselves. In other words, good stuff.

Next ... while we don't have a game review prepared, we give the most we can at present, with a soundtrack review for the hit PC RPG The Witcher. This game came out of left field and wowed us all; for me, the music did the exact same thing. Totally unexpected, making it all the more enjoyable.

To finish off, everyone's favorite work-horse of a writer, Dennis Rubinshteyn, provides OST and Single reviews for Super Robot Taisen Original Generations! All right!

Next update? Even more new stuff! We'll be doing catch-up updates from 2007 releases alongside the big releases of 2008 for the next few months consecutively. Care to contribute? Send an email to soundtracks@rpgfan.com and we'll see what happens from there.
