Nihon Falcom Benefits from PSP Releases
09.27.07 - 11:58 AM

Nihon Falcom has updated its financial projections for the fiscal year ending on September 30th. The makers of Ys and Eiyuu Densetsu (Legend of Heroes) now expect a profit of 250 million yen ($2.17 million USD) on sales of 1.41 billion yen ($12.25 million USD). Previously, Nihon Falcom had projected a profit of 190 million yen ($1.65 million USD) and sales of 1.29 billion yen ($11.21 million USD).

The Tokyo-based company is citing higher than expected pre-orders for today's PlayStation Portable release of Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki Second Chapter in Japan for the updated projections. Furthermore, that game's prequel, Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki First Chapter for PlayStation Portable continues to sell well even one year after its release.
