Duo of New PS3 Titles Announced
06.27.07 - 11:50 AM

Two new PlayStation 3 titles have been announced in Japan. The first game is a new title developed by the studio behind .hack, Fukuoka-based CyberConnect2. No official title or release date has been given at this point, though.

The second game, titled Agarest Senki, is the product of a cooperation between RED Entertainment (Sakura Taisen), Idea Factory (Spectral Force, Spectral Souls) and Compile Heart (Astonishia Story, Rogue Heart Dungeon). Agarest Senki lets you explore five continents over five generations. During each generation the player has to travel through all five continents, defeating bosses and aiming for a seal pillar. The game's battles will be turn-based. Depending on which heroine the player chooses to become his partner, the looks and abilities of their offspring, that is the next generation's protagonist, will change. The developers are referring to this feature as the soul bride system.

Agarest Senki will be available in Japan on September 27th.

In further PlayStation 3-related news, Bethesda Softworks' The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will see a release in Japan sometime this fall.
