Legend of Heroes III Editor Review
05.05.07 - 8:25 PM

Falcom's Gagharv Trilogy, a sub-series within The Legend of Heroes, remained a PC-based game for many years. Then, in a surprise announcement, Bandai picked up the trilogy for PSP release. Not only that, they decided to bring the series to the US as well.

Bandai (now Namco Bandai) finished releasing the trilogy in January of this year, as The Legend of Heroes III: Song of the Ocean (it's The Legend of Heroes V in Japan, but who can keep track?) was shipped to stores.

I decided to give this game, and its predecessor The Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch, a fair shot. Did they come out on top as far as PSP RPGs go? Not really, but I did find some potential in there. To learn what potential I speak of, read on.

Also, since I can't resist a chance to post a soundtrack review, I'll also use this platform to post my review of "Falcom Live 2007 Original Sounds," one of Falcom's latest soundtracks. It's just a compilation of songs, mostly vocal songs...but it's worth checking out.
