Square Enix Revises First Half Forecast Again
11.15.06 - 1:58 PM

Square Enix revised its forecast for the first half of the current fiscal year again. The company had already issued a revised forecast on October 30th. Today, the makers of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest now expect a net profit of 3.3 billion yen ($28.03 million USD) on sales of 75.9 billion yen ($644.73 million USD). The previous forecast, released in October, spoke of 2.5 billion yen ($21.24 million USD) and 75.5 billion yen ($641.33 million USD) respectively.

The company cited an improved corporate tax situation and higher than expected license revenues related to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children outside Japan as the main reasons for today's revision.
