Akihabara Entertainment Festival Line-Up Announced
10.21.06 - 3:09 AM

Tomorrow the annual Akihabara Entertainment Matsuri - Tokyo Asia-Pacific Entertainment Festival 2006 will begin in Tokyo's infamous video game district. Sony Computer Entertainment today announced its plans for the festival. While visitors could only watch trailers of PlayStation 3 games last year, this year they will actually get to try out 15 PlayStation 3 titles in the Akihabara UDX Akiba Square on the 28th and the 29th.

In addition to WildARMS The Vifth Vanguard for PlayStation 2, two upcoming first-party RPGs for PlayStation Portable will also be playable at the event: the Level 5-developed strategy RPG Jeanne d'Arc and the action RPG sequel Tenchi no Mon 2: Busouden. In addition to demo booths, the two RPGs will also be the focus of two talk shows taking place on the 22nd. From 12:30 to 01:00 pm JST the voice actors behind three of Tenchi no Mon 2's playable characters will talk about their work on the Climax-developed title. Afterwards, Level 5 president Akihiro Hino and Jeanne d' Arc director Ken Kimura will sit down with the editors-in-chief of Weekly Famitsuu and Famitsuu PS2 to talk about their first PlayStation Portable game. Fans attending the Jeanne d'Arc talk show will be treated to a demo version of the game.

Tenchi no Mon 2: Busouden has been available in Japan since the 19th, while Jeanne d'Arc will ship to retail store shelves across Japan in a month's time, on November 22nd.
