Nippon Ichi Software has updated the official website for its original strategy RPG Soul Cradle: Sekai wo Kurau Mono. The PlayStation 2-based title will ship on one DVD. In addition to the game's release details, Nippon Ichi also updated the official website with bios of the following six new characters: Levin is a hot-blooded 18-year old who serves as a gate watcher. He is looking over and caring for his younger sister and hence does not like leaving the city. Retaly is a cool-headed spy and healer, who originally wanted to become a chef. Alexithymia is a mermaid queen living in an underwater palace. Since Alexithymia spends most of her time in her palace, a 28-year mermaid by the name of Jost leads the aquatic tribe in her stead. Endorf is a 35-year old head of a group of thieves. The gun-wielding man only takes money from rich people. 15 years ago, after he had suffered near fatal burns, Alexithymia helped him. Originally Schema, not Endorf was the head of the thieves. With Endorf now in charge, Schema seems content with her new position as the group's number two. She hates the poor, society, and even herself. The only thing she cares for is money.

Soul Cradle: Sekai wo Kurau Mono will be released in Japan on January 25th. The game's standard version will be available for 6,800 yen ($56.87 USD), while the first print limited edition will carry a suggested price tag of 8,800 yen ($73.60 USD). The latter will ship with an artbook and a soundtrack.
