Wild ARMs Makers Announce New Project
10.15.06 - 3:53 PM

Media Vision has opened the official website for its newest project, Setsu no Hi. The game's genre and target platform have yet to be announced, though. Wild ARMs series veteran Akifumi Kaneko is serving as the game's producer, while the scenario was written by Seijirou Endou. Endou has previously worked on Beast Warriors, A Rank Thunder for Mega CD, and Marcia: Shinjitsu no Sekai for Sega Saturn. Nobuko Miyauchi, who has already worked with Endou on Marcia, will serve as Setsu no Hi's composer. Hirooka Masaki (of Phantasy Star Online Episode III and Shining Tears fame) is in charge of designing the game's characters.

In Setsu no Hi, two worlds co-exist next to each other. In addition to the human world, a second world inhabited by creatures that resemble humans does exist. However, those creatures are savages with horns who eat their fellows. The only connection between the two worlds is a very small hole. In order to monopolize the transactions with the other world, a certain group has managed to make a secret out of the hole's existence, though. However, without the knowledge of the hole's discoverers, reseachers and investors, something managed to get through the hole into the human world and begins to attack and eat humans. And so Setsu no Hi's story begins. The game's protagonist, 16-year old Setsu Izumi has to deal with the death of his admired older brother, who died in a car accident. Unlike his brother, Setsu's bravery has its limits, but finally he picks up a katana to fight the invaders. Other characters include the female led Maria Kuzegawa and boxing champion Jirou Nagiken.

Setsu no Hi has yet to receive an official release date.
