Special Soundtracks Update
09.25.06 - 12:17 AM

While everyone in the universe is, or ought to be, playing Capcom's Okami, we've taken the time to share our thoughts on two recently-published Capcom soundtracks.

No, we did not review the five disc soundtrack for Okami. It's not an RPG, as much as I'd like to say it is.

What we have is actually much larger than five discs. Eleven discs is the name of the game with the "Breath of Fire Original Soundtrack Special Box." Featuring every last second of music from all five games in the series, this beast of a box set was limited to 2000 copies. Two of those 2000 copies left large impressions on editor Mark P. Tjan and reader Derek Strange. As such, they've gone ahead and written up lengthy details as to the nature of the beast. Put on your reading glasses and get to work.

This box set was released a few months back. As a very recently released bonus, I've written up a review for the new Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) Orchestra Album. Two different prints of the album exist, the first of which came out this past Friday. You'd be remiss to not check out this fantastic piece of work, arranged by none other than Noriyuki Iwadare.

Today's update is brought to you as an interruption from our weekly scheduled updates, so there will be even more musical goodness in the near future. Be ready for it.
