08.18.06 - 5:55 PM

Marvelous Interactive today announced plans to bring Happiness to the PlayStation 2. Originally released for the PC platform on October 21st, 2005, Happiness is a Windmill-developed love adventure. While Marvelous promises even better looking anime sequences for the PlayStation 2 version, no other potential enhancements or additions have been announced at this point.

One day, a female elite student by the name of Haruhi Kamisaka joins the protagonist's high school class. Quickly Haruhi becomes the rival of Anri Hiiragi, the class' female trouble maker. Other heroines include the protatgonist's mysterious senior Koyuki Takamine, the protagonist's younger sister in law Sumomo Kohinata, her classmate Ibuki Shikimori, and the shy Saya Kamijou. While the protagonist and Sumomo are studying according to the school's standard curriculum, the other heroines are additionally studying magic.

System-wise, Happiness plays like a standard adventure game. During conversations with the various heroines, players will have to select one out of multiple answers to push the story forward.

Happiness will be available in Japan sometime this winter.
