Tenchi no Mon Returns to PSP
07.28.06 - 11:39 AM

Sony Computer Entertainment has opened the official website for Tenchi no Mon (Kingdom of Paradise) 2: Busouden. The sequel will take players to a continent located far west from the original game's world. In this world, a gigantic gate towers above the surrounding landscape. Visible from everywhere in the country, the giant structure is considered a symbol of the gods. One day, however, the gate starts to change as a red shadow begins to engulf the entire monument. 300 years ago a similar event led to a great disaster which cost many lives. While people are scared to death, the game's two protagonists Rou and Shunka make their way towards the Gate to prevent the great disaster from reoccurring. The white-haired Rou was a member of his country's army until he became a suspect in a plot to assassinate the country's emperor. Since then, the army has been trying to hunt him down. The lively Shunka is the oldest daughter of a respected civil servant.

In battle, this unlikely duo usually forms a party of two. While Rou relies on his sword and spear skills, Shunka uses magic to take down enemies. Players will be able to switch between controlling Rou and Shunka on the fly. Compared to the original Tenchi no Mon, Sony Computer Entertainment also promises a greater emphasis on strategy elements in this sequel.

Tenchi no Mon 2: Busouden will be available in Japan on October 19th for 4,800 yen ($41.40 USD).
