Microsoft Announces 360 RPG from tri-Ace
04.06.06 - 10:22 AM

At a press conference in Japan, Microsoft announced several new games for its Xbox 360 console to revive interest in the next-generation system, which has seen lower weekly sales than the GameCube over the last couple of weeks. Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile makers tri-Ace, represented by Yoshiharu Gotanda, confirmed that the company is working on a new RPG for Microsoft Game Studios, but refused to go into specifics. He however hinted at first details being released in summer.

Mistwalker president Hironobu Sakaguchi mentioned that a playable demo (of about 20 minutes play time) of his original RPG Lost Odyssey will be available by summer or fall. At today's event, Sakaguchi showed off trailers of both Lost Odyssey and his second project, Blue Dragoon.

Next, Square Enix Yousuke Saitou and Tetsu Uesaka talked about their newest project sylph. However unlike tri-Ace's new title, Project Name: sylph, will not be a RPG, but a shooting game.
