Weekly Soundtracks Update
02.07.06 - 11:45 AM

Today's soundtrack reviews include some really old stuff, some sort of old stuff, and some fairly new stuff. Variety is the name of the game.

Growlanser III: The Dual Darkness OST. Growlanser IV: Wayfarer of the Time OST. Who reviewed them? I did. Are they worth your attention? I'd have to say yes. Check these out.

I also wrote a review for the obscure soundtrack Epica Stella OST. For our Western audience, that game is what we Americans know (from Working Designs) to be Vanguard Bandits. There are more than a few vocal tracks on this soundtrack, so don't miss out!

Now then, we also have three reviews from our European reader-reviewer, Alexander P.. Alex wrote a review for the Dragon Quest 1&2 Symphonic Suite. Yes, that's right, the earliest titles in full orchestral glory. If you've never heard these songs, then you probably need to take a listen before further exploring this site: you're not a true RPG Fan until you've familiarized yourself with Dragon Quest.

The last two reviews are the opening and ending singles for the PlayStation version of Tales of Phantasia. "The Dream Will Not Die" and "The Star in the Sky" are the songs. Considering non-importers probably aren't familiar with these songs yet...here's your chance! Get going now!

Over the next few weeks, expect some big updates involving Square Enix, Ar tonelico, and other exciting titles! And, if you have any ideas of your own for a soundtrack review, be sure to send it our way! just write to soundtracks@rpgfan.com.
