Both EverQuests Set To Expand
01.03.06 - 10:30 PM

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that both EverQuest and EverQuest II will soon be expanding. Everquest: Kingdom of Sky is slated to be the 11th expansion to the game, first launched in 1998. Featuring more than 30 new missions, seven new zones, six new instanced dungeons, and new unique creatures. Players will also be able to interact with the environment more, as items have been added that are destructible. Prophecy of Ro will be available in February, for $29.99 in a retail box or a $26.99 digital download.

Everquest II is not to be left out, however, as players will soon be able to explore the Kingdom of Sky. The second expansion for EverQuest II, Kingdom of Sky will, first off, raise the level cap for adventurers and artisans to 70. Guilds will be able to reach level 50. Ten new zones, along with more than a score of new creatures, will join the new items and level caps. The story concerns the Overrealm, a set of islands floating above Norrath. Kingdom of Sky also adds PvP functionality to EQ2 allowing Good and Evil characters to fight to the death. Players won't have to shell out the $29.99 or $26.99 for Kingdom of Sky for PvP, however, a patch will include it shortly after the game's February 11 release date.
