Grandia III Officially Headed Stateside

Square Enix has announced that the GameArts-developed Grandia III will officially be headed stateside in February. Developed for the PlayStation 2, it was originally released in Japan earlier this year on two discs.

"In all of our games, we want the player to be left with an overwhelmingly positive feeling that they can achieve anything they desire in life. In Grandia III while there is strong conflict in everyone's lives, those who are strong will overcome it," said Hidenobu Takahashi, Director for Grandia III.

"Another great element in Grandia III is the battle system. We're really proud of what we were able to achieve utilizing the command wheel; the battle system can be very complex but is very easy to learn," said Katsunori Saito, Game Arts Producer for Grandia III. "The combination of the story, fast-paced battle system and beautiful environment will prove to be an extremely enjoyable adventure."

In addition to the announcement, Square Enix has released seventeen screenshots of the title, so check them out, along with Ryan's review of the import version of the game, below.
