Square Enix President Talks Next-Gen
11.15.05 - 11:39 PM

In an interview with the Reuters news agency Square Enix president Youichi Wada said the possibility of his company's flagship series Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest appearing on both Sony Computer Entertainment's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360 would exist. The decision, whether Japan's most popular RPG franchises will be made available for both next-generation consoles or only appear on one platform, will be made by next year's Electronic Entertainment Expo which will be held in Los Angeles California in May 2006.

Currently, Square Enix has announced a new version of its MMORPG Final Fantasy XI for Xbox 360, a new untitled installment of the Final Fantasy series for PlayStation 3 and a new iteration of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for Nintendo's Revolution.
