At the third and last day of this year's Tokyo Game Show, Konami has held a second stage event focusing on the gaiden Rhapsodia (Suikoden Tactics) and Suikoden V. At today's event, Suikoden executive producer Matsukawa was joined by the producer of Suikoden IV and Rhapsodia, Junko Kawano. Kawano revealed that those who possess a Suikoden IV save data featuring all playable characters, can make Suikoden IV's protagonist join their party of playable characters in Rhapsodia.

Regarding Suikoden V, producer Matsukawa today cleared up speculations suggesting the game's protagonist would be a female. Today he confirmed that the protagonist was indeed a male character. Matsukawa also thanked fans for their continued support of the series, saying he was happy to see so many fans line up to attend the event, despite Sony Computer Entertainment and Microsoft exhibiting their next-generation consoles at the show.

Rhapsodia will be available in Japan on September 22nd, while Suikoden V has yet to receive an official release date.
