Dungeons and Dragons Co-Creator To Keynote DAoC Roundtable
09.08.05 - 6:44 PM

Mythic Entertainment has announced that Dave Arneson, co-creator of the original Dungeons and Dragons game will have a keynote speech at this year's Dark Age of Camelot Roundtable. As a "Father of Role Playing", Arneson will have a unique view on where RPGs have been and where they are headed.

"Dave Arneson is truly an originator in the area of role-playing games, and his work laid the foundation for RPGs – including Dark Age of Camelot - as we know them today," said Eugene Evans, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Mythic Entertainment. "We’re thrilled to give the Roundtable Fan Gathering attendees a chance to meet Dave and hear his perspective on the history of role-playing games, and insight into what the future holds."

Registration for the DAoC Roundtable is open until 5PM EST tomorrow, September 9. The event will take place in Las Vegas, NV, at the Rio Hotel and Casino, September 24th and 25th. Paid attendees for the event will recieve the new expansion, Darkness Rising for free, and will recieve an in-game item. Attendees will also have a chance to compete in DAoC-themed events from the event's sponsors, including names like Intel, Microsoft Games Studio, and nVidia. As icing on the cake, if you'd like to meet one of RPGFan's staff, our own, well, me, will be attending the event.
